Keep the source, the range, and the decisions visible.
Varve adds genuine sensor development and reviewed bracket merging to the existing Photo/Image Tuning surface. It keeps the original bytes and recipe available instead of turning a thumbnail into a claim of RAW support.

Useful controls without invented camera support.
- Classic uncompressed Bayer or monochrome DNG, with packed 8/10/12/14/16-bit sensor samples.
- As-shot or custom white balance, camera-matrix or explicit sRGB fallback, exposure, black/white, highlights, shadows, crop, and orientation.
- Reviewed bracket selection, reference frame, exposure entry, bounded translation alignment, conservative deghosting, and separate radiance/fusion semantics.
- Float32 scene-linear computation, SDR preview, and single-part uncompressed OpenEXR float16/float32 master export.
- Ultra HDR gain-map JPEG sharing: the stored SDR rendition becomes the base image and a separate per-channel recovery map carries the extended range, so an SDR viewer shows exactly the rendition you reviewed.
- Reopen a supported range-bearing OpenEXR on an SDR-only runtime, adjust the SDR output transform, and keep the master unchanged.
- Persistent clone, heal, spot-heal, and patch repairs on the existing raster-layer target, plus a linear-light dodge and burn brush with shadows/midtones/highlights focus.
- Downstream pixel repairs are baked to the RAW source revision: changing white balance, exposure, or the profile afterwards keeps the repair bytes intact, shows a stale-repair warning, and requires an intentional reapply or rebase. Verified end to end in the browser, including save/reopen.
